Running Challenge

ENTER AND START TRAINING

Once you are all set up, it is time to lace up your running shoes! 

You can either follow the program included or if you are a more experienced runner, train up for a new personal best. 

I highly recommend setting a goal/ target time. By having a goal, you will be more motivated to progress towards it. This may be the difference to getting out of bed to get some training in or putting on your running shoes after work. 

Finally it will feel massively more rewarding once you achieve that time, overcoming any doubts you may have had previously.

COMPLETE THE RUN BEFORE THE DEADLINE

The deadline for each challenge is varied depending on the distance. This will allow you to find time for each run leading up to the virtual race day and adjust your schedule and plans. Online coaching is avaialble upon request

Once you are ready, record the final virtual race time.

You may wish to complete the run before the close date window, and that is fine. However should you go over the deadline, you will not receive the reward. This rule is created to give you a sense of urgency that a real race day provides.

Having said this, if you have a valid reason, such as an injury, please message and an extension will be made.

The deadline will prevent you from skipping training days and allow you to have more of a structured plan in the weeks/days leading up.

SEND IN PROOF OF COMPLETION AND RECEIVE THE REWARD

Sending in the proof of completion is extremely easy! Just take a screenshot of the final run. Then send it to me via email or instagram. Instructions on how to do this are included in the welcome form.

Note – You will need to use an app that records the distance and time such as “Nike running” or “Strava”. Both apps are free to download.

Once the run data is received we will approve it and get your reward packaged up and sent out.. 

Please note that you can also gift this event for other people, such as friends and family.

ONLINE COACHING PACKAGE (LIMITED SPACES)

Should you wish to have guidence I will be your personal trainer throughout, building a program that you can follow.

You will have access to this through a customised fitness application on your phone or tablet. Regular progress meetings will be included along with 247 support throughout the program. 

I recommend this to people who need that extra push of motivation as well as new runners. 

This comes at an extra cost, but it will be extremely useful in getting you over the line at the best time possible.

Where does it take place?

The event takes place wherever you want it to, meaning you can complete the run anywhere anytime. All you need to do is press start on your tracking app and get going, allowing you to make the route as exciting or simple as you wish. The terrain can be chosen to best suit your style of running too, along with completing it on a treadmill meaning you wouldn’t even need to leave the house to be sent a reward! 

Do you have to run?

No, if you would be more comfortable walking at a fast pace that is fine and you will still receive the reward. 

When is the day of the event?

The day is completely down to you however the time frame is what you need to be cautious of. For example the time frame for the 5k challenge is 6 weeks. This means you can complete it any time within those 6 weeks.

Consider the coaching package – For a small additional fee you will be added to my online coaching list, where I can check in on your training and give you guidance upon request. You will be notified when workouts are set and have a digital calendar to stay up to date with your program from your phone or tablet.
